Step 1 — Downloading the Installer

Your browser may flag the download with a warning. This is normal for new applications that haven't yet built up a large install history.

• Chrome: Click the arrow next to the blocked download → Keep → Keep anyway
• Edge: Click the three dots next to the blocked download → Keep → Show more → Keep anyway

Step 2 — Running the Installer

When you launch the installer, Windows SmartScreen may show a dialog saying "Windows protected your PC." This is completely normal.

Step 1 — Download the Correct Version

Not sure which you have? Click the Apple menu → About This Mac. If it says Apple M1, M2, M3, or M4 you have Apple Silicon. If it lists an Intel processor, download the x64 version.

Step 2 — Install the App

1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
2. Drag StillGood AP into your Applications folder
3. Eject the disk image

Step 3 — Launch the App

The first time you open StillGood AP, macOS may show a dialog asking if you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Click Open to proceed. This prompt only appears once.

The plan includes 40 SMS and 80 email alerts per 12-hour period. This is more than enough for typical imaging sessions. Alerts have intelligent cooldown periods to prevent spam while keeping you informed.

Intelligent cooldowns prevent alert spam by limiting how often you're notified about the same issue. After sending an alert, StillGood AP waits a set period (30-60 minutes depending on severity) before alerting about that problem again. This keeps you informed without overwhelming you with duplicate notifications.

Yes! StillGood AP is perfect for remote observatories. As long as your imaging computer has internet access, you'll receive alerts no matter where you are. Many users monitor equipment hundreds of miles away.

StillGood AP supports NINA 3.0+ and PHD2 2.6+. We recommend using the latest versions of both applications for the best experience.

Yes, StillGood AP needs to be running on your imaging computer to monitor log files in real-time. It has a minimal footprint and won't interfere with NINA or PHD2.

Absolutely! You can cancel your subscription at any time by visiting the Manage Subscription page. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.
