Step 1 — Downloading the Installer

Your browser may flag the download with a warning. This is normal for new applications that haven't yet built up a large install history.

• Chrome: Click the arrow next to the blocked download → Keep → Keep anyway
• Edge: Click the three dots next to the blocked download → Keep → Show more → Keep anyway

Step 2 — Running the Installer

When you launch the installer, Windows SmartScreen may show a dialog saying "Windows protected your PC." This is completely normal.

StillGood AP offers a free mobile companion app that delivers push notifications directly to your phone when equipment issues are detected. No email required.

Step 1 — Choose Push Notifications in the Desktop App

In the StillGood AP desktop app, go to Settings and select Enable Push Alerts. Save your settings.

Step 2 — iPhone / iPad (Safari required)

1. Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad — the app will not work correctly in Chrome or Firefox on iOS
2. Go to stillgoodap.com/pwa/
3. Log in using your email address and license key
4. At the bottom of the Safari screen tap ... and then tap the Share button
5. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
6. Tap Add — the StillGood AP icon will now appear on your home screen
7. Open the app from your home screen (this step is required — push notifications will not work if you open from Safari directly)
8. Log in and tap "Enable Notifications" — allow when prompted

iOS requirement: You must be running iOS 16.4 or later, and the app must be launched from your home screen (not from Safari) for push notifications to work.

Step 2 — Android (Chrome required)

1. Open Chrome on your Android device
2. Go to stillgoodap.com/pwa/
3. Log in using your email address and license key
4. Chrome will show an "Add to Home Screen" banner at the bottom — tap it. If the banner doesn't appear, tap the three-dot menu → "Add to Home Screen"
5. Tap Add — the StillGood AP icon will appear on your home screen
6. Open the app and tap "Enable Notifications" — allow when prompted

Step 3 — Send a Test Notification

Once notifications are enabled, tap "Send Test Notification" in the mobile app to confirm everything is working. You should receive a notification within a few seconds.

The plan includes 80 email alerts or unlimited push notifications per 12-hour period. This is more than enough for typical imaging sessions. Alerts have intelligent cooldown periods to prevent spam while keeping you informed.

Intelligent cooldowns prevent alert spam by limiting how often you're notified about the same issue. After sending an alert, StillGood AP waits a set period (30-60 minutes depending on severity) before alerting about that problem again. This keeps you informed without overwhelming you with duplicate notifications.

Yes! StillGood AP is perfect for remote observatories. As long as your imaging computer has internet access, you'll receive alerts no matter where you are. Many users monitor equipment hundreds of miles away.

StillGood AP supports NINA 3.0+ and PHD2 2.6+. We recommend using the latest versions of both applications for the best experience.

Yes, StillGood AP needs to be running on your imaging computer to monitor log files in real-time. It has a minimal footprint and won't interfere with NINA or PHD2.

Absolutely! You can cancel your subscription at any time by visiting the Manage Subscription page. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.
